The full-size Speederbike was scratchbuilt by Roland and me. The materials used were mainly welded steel (for the frame), fiberglass (for the bodyshell and the rear fenders), aluminum (for the front steering vanes and the back engine covers) and wood (for the lower engine housing). Some of the parts were actually done with a CNC machine. We used over three hundred photos of the actual movie-used Speederbike. It took us over a year to complete this baby...
